First Announcement 


The Second International Conference on the Soil and Water Assessment Tool -  Southeast Asia (SWAT-SEA) is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, January 4-8, 2011. SWAT-SEA 2011 is being organized by
Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, USA. The first SWAT-SEA Conferences was successfully held in Chiang Mai, Thailand in January 5-8, 2009 SWAT is a leading water quality watershed model being used worldwide. In January 2009, a book on: ‘SWAT: Global Applications’ was published by the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation.
 

SWAT- SEA 2011 is expected to bring together  about 300 people from SEA region and around the world representing academic, government, non governmental organizations, and private industry. 

January 4 - 5, 2011: SWAT Training Workshops include:

                  - Introductory SWAT (Dr. R.  Srinivasan, Texas A&M, USA)

                 - Advanced SWAT (Dr. Ann van Griensven, UNESCO, Delft, Netherlands, and Dr. Karim Abbaspour, EAWAG, Switzerland)

                  - Stream Restoration (Dr. Greg Jennings, North Carolina State University, USA)

                  - MapWindowns  (Dr. Daniel Ames, Developer of MW, Idaho State University, USA)
